BEHIND THE SCENES: This shoot originally called for multiple locations, but weather wouldn't allow it. We ended up grabbing as many takes as we could behind a Borders parking lot in Puyallup, Washington: the most isolated and gritty place we could find. Unfortunately, the shoot wasn't completely devoid of distractions, but we managed to fend them off for a couple hours by simply telling passerbys that we worked for MTV. This didn't make them leave, but it did put an end to obnoxious whistling. Plus, I think the extra attention added a little something to the performance. Thankfully, no Borders' employees asked to see any proof of who we were and what we were doing!
